The PSR program is designed to assist families of children in grades 1 through 8 attending public school in their religious education. The curriculum presents the teachings of the Catholic Church in age-appropriate materials. Classes begin late August/early September. PSR sessions continue until mid-May. Registration begins in March. Registrations must be received by August 8 for students to start classes the first night of class. A student needs to successfully complete one grade in order to move to the next one.
Students with special needs requiring educational modifications are welcomed and encouraged to attend PSR class on Monday or Tuesday evening. Our goal is to teach our Catholic faith and touch the hearts of our special needs children.
PSR Class times for the 2018/2019 school year are:
Monday 6:15 to 7:30 pm or Tuesday 6:15 to 7:30 pm
Please Note: Once a family enrolls in a PSR session, they will remain in that session for both semesters to insure the best possible experience and outcome for their children. If your child(ren) participate on a Sacred Heart sports team, practice and games will not be scheduled during PSR sessions.
Home Schooling
Parents have the option of enrolling in the PSR Home Schooling program. They teach their child using the same books and materials as other PSR catechists. To apply for this option, circle Home Schooling on the registration form where it requests the session. This option is available for grades 3-6. The Home Schooling program is limited to 20 children.
