On January 22, 1973 The Supreme court ruled that all states must allow for access to abortion. Every year on the anniversary of that decision we make a pilgrimage to Washington, DC to participate in the March for Life. This pilgrimage is not meant to be comfortable – in a typical year, we are after all are sleeping on a bus, getting up early, and marching all day.
In these unusual times, where the local, state, and national guidance related to the current pandemic are changing, we will be participating in the March for Life by staying here in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. This year, we are using the theme Love Thy Neighbor. Why? Because in a year like this, we have the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel of Life, in our communities, and in our homes in a way like never before.
We continue to be a prayerful witness about the importance of life, to stand firm in our hopes for an end to abortion and euthanasia. We stand to show the beauty of all life including the criminal, the disabled, and the marginalized. Thank you to everyone who stands with us and to everyone who joins us in prayer. This year we will have a “launch rally” the evening of Wednesday, January 27th, as well as other prayerful planned activities on the 28th and 29th. On the 30th, we are planning for a large rally at a local sports venue where all of the Archdiocesan participants in GenerationLife will come together to pray, to stand, to rejoice in the gift of life. We would love for you to join us by registering here!
